Why don't you apply to schools you really want to go to instead of one that is merely not BU? It is, without question, a first-class and elite school. There is so much going on that it is impossible to be bored. Amherst is one of the few truly need-blind colleges in the nation; students are admitted without regard to financial aid, and each admitted student is guaranteed financial aid equal to demonstrated financial need.
